There are days where all it ever feels that I do is whinge.

Hi, this is the fihmouse herself,  Mishka, not at her best but able to drag herself to this corner of the universe pretty much since the last time I've posted.
I should catch you guys up a bit on some of the bigger stuff I've done and try to hold onto my new found resolve to post more. If you've been visiting my bff's lj then you allready know a few things. If not then yes, I still exist. If you don't see me here, assume that I'm in a deprssive slump somewhere, hopefully being hugged till things feel better.

Times have been low but fast. Been making the hangs with SCA people & a very snuggly Kiwi by the name of Alex. Dude snuggles like crazy! It's quite a lovely thing really. I've managed to make friday night drinks with my fellow nerd-bros like a normal human, crash Sparta, sing & dance. I've baked crack & fudge brownies of sheer awesome, and one giant rice boob. Delicous.
I've also managed to be hit on by skeezy dudes but they've taken the hint & are leaving me alone. Yay!

In exciting developments, I believe that I may finally have mustered up the required courage to ask out this guy I've a bit of a crush on. Due to the fact that I'm pretty sure his housemate lurks this part of the internet I'm not using names... yet. Not untill I've had the words leave my mouth.

Seen some theater, been to some films, spent the rest of the time feeling tired & isolated. Thankyou brain chemistry. I've things planned for the weekend - a gig with Alex tomorrow, go to Rin's to play with ropes all sunday then off to Chatswood to see Prince of Perisa with some geeks & mr crush. J

Can someone remind me to keep working on my Dr Horrible coat so I can show my face at Supanova? Thanks. I plan on being awesome for it. Better buy the boots & buttons then!

Farewell for now, it's cold & I require more snuggles. Or gloves. Or yarn. Or pattern. Actually, all of the above!

Well, it's not going to fit him so he can't steal it! I get it, it's not everyones thing.
It'll be good to see you again, it's been such a terribly long time

My mum recently bought about a million lots (skeins? I am not good with craft terminology) of yarn from someplace in Bondi Junction; apparently they're having a big sale. Interested in details?

Did you just mention a yarn sale to a yarn/fibre junkie? Yes please! I have a feeling it might be the Spotlight there but details will be appreciated.

Once again, sorry about missing the film, if need be I can explain in detail next time I'm over. (anything happening the week of Pheno?)

Don't worry about the movie, it was complete rubbish and we didn't hang around afterwards cos of parking constraints.

Pheno week - Not sure exactly but I'm sure Anton and I will be happy to host board games if Malcolm isn't up for running the campaign.

My mum says "Tapestrycraft in the city (or Morris and Sons as it's now known) has their annual up to 80% off sale on at the moment. 60 York Street, I think. I also bought some yarn online at a place called CRaftee Cottage - it's in Victoria."

/me hugs back

Ah, just as well I didn't flail & make Irish drive me to Chatswood to try & catch it afterall. Next time it'll have to be someting more like The Loosers which I gurantee is great.

Pheno week I'm pretty sure it's just you, Anton & I as the rest are going to be in Canberra. There is plenty of time to sort something out.

I know all about the old Tapestrycraft. I've allready hit up the evil M&S & are, as always, dissapointed at thier non-wool range. Brought some bright green yarn for new mitts. I'll check out that online place, they might have what I'm looking for. If you happen to have anything for Penny gloves, I'll happily pay you & take it off your hands.

Also, I'm going to instigate a new regime of hugs. It's strange that we're friends & I don't hug you. So expect at least hello & goodbye hugs at future gaming sessions.

ok I just reappeared from the abyss of the Thesis, so now I can catch up on email and so forth.

Word of God (ie. Malcolm) is that next week everyone will be present and we will be dealing with mind-controlled security guards, as per last time we played.

Yeh, my mum is totally on this knitting thing, she came home with an entire bag of green-blue yarn from M & S, and every time anyone mentions any item of clothing she's all like "I have a pattern for that! :D". It's kind of scary how gung-ho she is about it. Will see if she's got a pattern for those gloves.

Yay hugs! Although I should probably warn you that I'm very physically shy even though I enjoy being hugged. Yeh, I'm weird that way.

Did you have fun in the abyss?

Yes! Provided I can get my jacket done, you'll be seeing me that night!

I've been guilty of that, have discovered that I'm becoming a bit of a yarn snob. I might have to hook her up with a pattern in return. This knitting thing can be a bit obsessive. It's started to reach into Dr Who territory, which might become worrying.

HUGS!!! There will be many hugs, we'll see how it goes before I start promising to numbers. I don't think anyone in the group is ready for my epic snuggles quite yet. I won't expect you to initiate a hug for a while then. No pressure, you can refuse them if you want.
